After 2 years from concept to completion, Daddy I Do had it's World Premiere at the Idyllwild International Festival of Cinema on January 14th, 2010 and was far better received than I could have ever dreamed of or prayed for. Two days later, at the Awards Ceremony on Saturday, January 16th, I accepted the award for BEST DOCUMENTARY.
I didn't expect nor fathom what that experience would be like, but the moment I realized I was walking down a theatre isle, with an uproar of people clapping after my name had been called, I channeled my childish wonderment of what that would be like, and I realized I was living it.
Having my family, dearest friends, and now new fans applauding this accomplishment that I so many times doubted was absolutely surreal, and I never want to forget that hard work does pay off.
